I am connecting a calorifier on a ford1.8 xd I have found one connection on top to the rear of the cylinder head but not sure where other one goes for the return. I have had someone say there is another on the side of the block,3/4 BSP plug but I cant see it and someone saying the heater pipe originally went to the bottom hose in the car.

Anyone got a clue? I know its an unusual engine as most are BMC's

I know not many people will have this engine fitted but I have it sorted now. There is a feed on the cylinder head 1/2 BSP and a 3/4 BSP plug at the bottom of the bowman which you remove to fit a barb connecion.
