After some time away I have got on with things on the 'To Do List'

Most notable things achieved is the revamped toilet compartment.
I made a cover for all the electrics and put some wooden cladding along the back. Once this was all painted I sealed the sides and laid some budget lino flooring. The wife will be impressed.

. .

The other job completed today was the install of two new seat posts. When I did the renovation last year I simply replaced like for like what the previous owners had. I wasn't to know there were table pedastols only so over the pase few months had cracked. I found a good deal on some more stable ones. These are good as because I had raised the seating by a few inches I needed something low.

. .

Next week the annual job of antifouling.

Thanks Merlin and TigTog. I am indeed still at the usual mooring in Reading, not long now and she will be back in the water (I hope) so anyone fancies meeting up and a swift beer or two on board please give me a shout.

As mentioned, she goes back in on the 18th March so have to get the final bits done. I managed to get the antifoul slapped on, always a job I hate doing and my finger tips are now full of the stuff. Strange as I was wearing gloves.

If anyone remembers last year I had a problem with getting a new name vinyl printed without mistakes but have now finally got the correct name on the side.

Today I also completed the toilet compartment. There were a few wires going to the horn and nav lights hanging in front of the window so housed it all in some trunking.

.

Good to get some of the home comforts back in so really looking forward to some warmer weather.

Tigtog, you were brave to go out. Still weeks later and not much sign of the boats going back in. Not too bothered, gives me more time to do things. First day thr sun is out so decided to clean the canopy. Got it off the boat and back home. A couple of buckets of warm soapy water and some elbow grease it's looking pretty good inside and out.

. .

Fingers crossed we can all get out soon.

Inspiring stuff, Sir!!! Thanks for posting such a detailed account ... I'm sure it will help me greatly with ideas.

Give a man a fish and he'll feed his family for a day. Teach a man to fish ... and he'll sit in a boat drinking beer all day. Hic!

Oh yes, sun is out, no more red boards so back out we go.
Going from Reading to Henley tomorrow (Monday) so give me a shout if any fellow Normans are out, beers will be in the cooler box.

Hello all, it's been a while since I posted but after a really good season on the river we have decided to put Quo Vadis up for sale. Really want her to go to a good home so will spend the winter cleaning and doing all the little jobs I never got around to but hopefully people can see the work and effort put in over the years.

Here is my basic site to help http://quovadis2.weebly.com/

This isn't an advert btw.

Dave
