Evening all, Iv'e just bought a new prop for my Honda 15 outboard and got one with an extra 1 inch of pitch. Unless i read things wrong i gain on the low end rpm and lose a bit on WOT. This is what i wanted as my journeys are rivers and canals ie 4-5 knots. + a bit of tidal say 6 knots. She is quite economical as it is but i am from Yorkshire lol. Good move or bad move please. Regards .

It should drop the rpm at a given speed as long as the engine has the grunt to spin it, if it can't reach full rpm it won't give full HP.
