As it's working I thought I'd better change the title.
Just testing an image upload possibilty...

It seems to be working, current limit set to just under 5Mb, jpg/gif/bmp only.
If you are going to play use sensible size images.
There will be glitches no doubt.....

Sorted Dave press the three dots top right go to 25% on zoom and get the full picture. This was me at Drakeholes Tunnel on the Chesterfield canal after demolishing the cockpit frame. Ps revert back to 100% after the pic.

At the moment the only way to keep things is size is to reduce before uloading, I can't find a way of doing that in the forum code.
Resizing is easy on a windows pc, edit your image in paint and hit the resize button, choze 'pixels', set the horizontal box to 1000 or lower,hit 'ok', 'save as' (something like small in front of existing filename) so you don't mess up your original, upload the small version.
The example below took about 30 seconds, you save more than 30 seconds by the upload being faster, also saves Trevors webspace and makes the page load faster for others.

I think I'll force the resize thing by reducing filesize allowed till I work something out, 500kb should be plenty big enough for a piccie on a web forum.

I can't really take credit for it, it's a mod from the snitz community that I found, it did need some tweaking to get the output right for forum piccies only and a bit of messing to get around previous minor fettling but in the main went fairly straight forward.
I did backup the database first after the last disaster to befall this forum in days gone by, no names mentioned.......
