Perfect, suit deep locks as well. ideally you'd want 3, one each side on the stern and one bow.

Finally living the dream!

Thanks Clive I never thought about the deep locks. The day has finally arrived. After 5 years of refit on my 32 I’m launching on the Brecon and Monmouth 2nd October. A holiday at last. I'll try and put up some pics

Where are you launching? We're hoping to do the Brecon and Monmouthshire next year and I've just started looking into slipways and parking. Thanks

I'd always go fo 4 @ 1.5 times the length of the boat, 2 onthe bow with one each side led back to cockpit and 1 each side stern, then you can always step off the side with both ropes without having to go to the bow whichever side you moor.

Herons Rest Marina. Use of the slip £15 which is cheaper than the others. I think you can park there. It looks like a very nice marina but I will be on a cruising license so not staying more than 14 days in the same place.
