Hi all,is it feasible to fit an electric outboard to my Norman 23 inboard in case of an emergency, a guy on the mornings has just put one an 18ft boat, not a Norman, but similar, seems to work OK,

hi, i bought one as a back up after my outboard broke down the other month, tried it a couple of times on canals and yes it works, not very fast but it does push you along, it is a 55lb thrust one, oh and our boat is a 23 too

Cheers roger,I have a seagull century, 5hp,long shaft at moment, weighs a ton, don't fancy leaving it on boat, case it gets nicked, think I sell that and get one.
