I have linked the wrong picture, the slip was at Moonsbridge last year, I was lifted in at Garstang Marina this time.

That's not a waterway I am familiar with, but it looks fantastic. Apparently there are quite a fee Freeman's up there????

Hi John
Just been down to our boat for the first time in a couple of months and saw Water Witch moored up on the same jetty as ours. We are in berth 230 N23 Kismet so we are almost alongside.
Have been on the Lancy for several years and enjoyed the lock free sailing.
Garstang is almost in the middle of the canal so turn to starboard as you leave the marina, to head up to Lancaster and on to infinity at Tewitfield 20 odd miles, or,go t,other way to Preston 15 miles ish.
A word of caution, be careful on leaving the marina as there is a blind bend on the portside as you enter the canal, and there are some idiots who steam round it at a fair lick, so use the horn as a warning and be ready with the throttle.
Hope to see you down there soon.

Pete & Maggie (KISMET)

Hi Pete & Maggie
will keep an eye out for you, we moored last year at Moonsbridge down near Preston, but the 2hr cruise each way to Garstang was a little to far, it's great to be nearer the centre of the canal, things are much more reachable. Agree with you on that blind bend..:-)

regards
