Hi all
By chance does anyone know if there are any new spares tucked away for a Flavel B600 cooker. Gas taps and rings I am after. I would like to re-furb the one I have.
I would also like 6 numbers on the lottery as well if anyone knows them before the draw takes place, lol
I failed my boat safety on a gas leak, sprayed everything with leak detector and found 1 tap leaking out of the back. I have had all the taps apart and cleaned them with a cloth, regressed them with gascock grease,. Leak tested again and showing no bubbles on the spray test. Then drop tested the gas again at 30m/bar, 1 minute to settle then 3 minute test on the manometer and it loses 1m/bar.
If it fails this time I am looking for another cooker, but told I have to fit new with flame arrester ?.
Again any help will be appreciated

| Hello all, I have a Flavel cooker which I bought second hand as I was having problems getting my current cooker to pass the Safety Certificate. Now my present cooker has passed this one is surplus. It was bought as working fine but not having used it I cannot comment. It is all complete. Any offers. |

| Apologies to all, my cooker is made by Calor according to the badge on the front of the oven door. It is still for sale if anyone is interested. |

Hi Mick, I think you will be lucky to get spares from anywhere. What is the flame arrestor you mention? didn't think they were fitted on those stoves!

| This doesn't have flame arrestor, but if I cannot get spares and I have to replace it then I cannot replace with an old one, I have to replace with modern cooker with arresters |

| Think you might be confusing flame failure safety device with flame arrestors. You wouldn't get an arrestor on a cooker, they are more for larger commercial equipment to stop a flash back. |

Just had a look in the back of the workshop and I have a Flavel B700 cooker no idea if it works so will sell it as spares.
When i looked at the ID plate on the cooker it says Flavel B700 and underneath it then says Calor, so Jimbo yours may be a Flavel
If you are interested PM me, cooker is in West Lancs, but we use a carrier service in work so can send it anywhere.
