I am looking for someone who can refurbish a propeller to fit a Volvo Penta 100 gear leg. This type has in the centre of the propeller hub a rubber bush and a bronze bush vulcanised in place. The bronze tube slips over the gear leg drive shaft and the drive is transmitted to the propeller via a shear pin.I cannot find anyone who carries the necessary spare rubber bus etc. Can any one help please?

Simple answer....

http://www.steeldevelopments.net

If it has ANYTHING to do with outdrive props then they do it!!!!! If they don't, it can't be done.

Nowhere else even comes close.

Thank you for your replies. Steel Developments will not touch it. Whereas Bill Hyham of Manchester can repair at a very reasonable price. So that is where it is going. Once again thank you for your replies.

Perhaps a bit late but I recommend Streamlined in Aldershot who service much of the South East boating fraternity, meaning the coastal trade, and to whom rubber-bossed props are no surprise.

And they are cheap, very very good and offer good service too.

Inboards, outboards, racing props - they do the lot!

The cost of boating is insignificant compared to costs of a young wife and two teenage kids!
