Last time I had a peek at this it seemed a tad neglected but is now seemingly unavailable. Has it gone belly up or something?

Just tried it Deano - went to a web ring the first time, but the second time went straight to the home page.

It has been a bit quiet there but often is this side of Christmas.

Wait until Spring when all those frozen heaters etc show up - then it'll get busy again.

The cost of boating is insignificant compared to costs of a young wife and two teenage kids!

Get all the water out of it!

I always advocate the safest way is take it off the boat and take it home and stick it under the stairs until you recommission. The reason is the difficulty of getting all the water out of the valves and heat exchanger without a total strip and an air-line. The demand valve is so delicate a freeze up destroys it.

Likewise shower cassettes too cannot tolerate being frozen as the days of all metal parts have long gone.

Empty calorifiers too.

Good point - Must go down to Dads Tube tomorrow & drain the Paloma !!!

Last yr he forgot (Again) & because I had repaired the leaks so well the year before the joint that used to pop if it froze held & I eddied up soldering the exchanger !
