Hello,
i`m from the Netherlands. i`m 17 years old. my father have got a norman 20 / inter630 since 1989. It was back then a really nice boat but now its not so good as back then. The boat is just moored on the same spot as 4 years ago. with the outboard engine up. I will refit the Inter by 4 years when there is enough money and time the outboard engine what is fitted on the inter is a 40 hp yamaha but as we refit the boat it will transferred to a 15 bhp 4 stroke due to the fuel efficiency and the good amount of power. We have also a really nice orkney with 15 hp 4 stroke mercury engine.

Hi Stefan, welcome to the madhouse, I believe there were quite a few normans exported to the Netherlands.

Hi Stefan and welcome. What wisdom your father chose in selecting a Norman, and how mature of you to take on such a good project. Tackle one job at a time, try to get some enjoyment from the boat as you go and dont hesitate to ask any questions from this site, the knowledge base is very broad. Have Fun. |

I would sell the Inter, there's one on Boatshop24.com for £7632 here: http://www.boatshop24.com/en/advert/motor-boats/inter-de-inter-630/503 391 and buy 3 or 4 Norman 20's with the money and sell them as Inter 630's.
That's a lot of money for a Norman 20 with a different name!
Welcome here Stefan.

thanks for all the good replies I will search for some pics of the norman. But I have made a mistake...., the Norman/inter will just be refittet over 4 years because I study and working and so on so the first things first. I will use the forum to learn more about the boat and restauration. But also to update you for other boat and holiday things. I forgot to say that my brother and I also have a little boat. its a topcraft with steering wheel and a 6 bhp yamaha.
My father just saw the boat in a newspaper and he bought it. she is called old-naranja. the names of my parents are in the name
I hope it isn`t a problem that the Norman will just be refittet after the next 4 years...

Hahaha - you GOT to be joking. Half of them spend 4 years just STARTING!
Some NEVER finish!
And some will tell you that no boat will EVER be finished because with maintenance and upgrades it just goes on endlessly.
They are "Black Holes" for £'s. Kroner, Euros, dollars, pesos, baht, yen- whatever your currency is you can throw it in endlessly.

yeah i will start after 4 years (i think you didn`t understand me right or I didn`t said it right. ) And for the great amount of euro`s there will go in there, you have to save them. so its gonna be a nice boat when everything is done. I have quite a lot of ideas. |
