Hi all.
I am new to all this so if it is inappropriate to post this here please accept my apologies and please move to where it should be!

Here goes. I need help trying to sell a Norman 23 1975 cabin cruiser we have recently acquired.I work for a major Caravan Dealership and we have took this boat as a part exchange. Now, as you can appreciate we know nothing about selling boats. I dont know what documents I need to sell the boat, whether or not the boat needs to be registered with any organization and most important of all, what we should actually be selling the boat for!

Any help would be greatly appreciated and thank you!

Paperwork wise theres sod all other than an invoice, it would fetch more with a new boat safety certificate but I'm guessing you don't want to go down that route, is it on a trailer or in water?
Registration wise you don't know which waterway the new owner will want to put it on so no point worrying about that.
Price is dependant on condition/engine/bss length.

Thank you - much appreciated that!

I think I will give it a go as an auction on eBay. The boat is currently out of the water in our sales yard (it is currently living on a few old tires) and has a few months left on its BSS Certificate. (August).

Glad to see I don't need to get a license, that's what I was worried about.

Again thanks for yuor help.

There is a for sale section on this website, but it looks a bit inactive at present, not sure if they're still accepting ads? Ebay is probably your best bet. Also consider some of the boating web sites like apollo duck.

The value will depend very much on the condition, and what (if any) engine it comes with. The engine could easily be worth more than the rest of the boat, depending on size and age.
