I am pleased to say that, but for a few snags, I have completed the 2 year renovation of my Norman 22 - Loli-Lula. I would like to thank everyone on this site for their help, pointers and suggestions.
I was inspired greatly by a website set up by Kevin who was renovating "Chowler" the same model of Norman 22, and again he was very helpful, and as such I have set up a mini site to show a selection of photos from the renovation of Loli-Lula to maybe help and inspire others.
I am going to add a list of reference materials, links to suppliers etc..
The rear cabin extension may be a bone of contention for some but I am interested in everyones comments... please be gentle!

A good job done indeed, the hardtop looks a bit strange to me but I'm not sure how you would realy make one suit an old norman without it being too low.
That looks like a lovely spot for a mooring, where is it?

Thanks for the response. Yes the hardtop does jar a bit, but it has made an excellent space, and it carries a solar panel and aerials on it.
With hindsight I would have taken a couple of inches off the height, but in the absence of any screen coming with the boat and the extra days I can use her in the Scottish weather I'm still pretty chuffed.
The mooring is on Loch Lomond, I have a swing mooring on inchmurrin island. It's a beautiful location and big enough not to get too bored (plenty of pubs!) |

I too have a 22 which is a long term project, and I too aspire to adding a wheel house when I have finished most of the inside. I am impressed by yours, and if you find time to add some details of how you made it and attached it I would be keen to read more.

I am hoping to update the content of the site with some notes and explanations over the next couple of weeks.
Peter - I'll fire over some info to you and I am planning to take some internal pics of the boat and rear cockpit as I have finished carpeting the main cabin and the lining and finishes in the cockpit.

Cracking site sadbassa boat looks very good and can't wait to see finished pics of inside.
I have been tarting up a 22 we bought in Jan this year and the only thing that has stumped me is how to insulate the inside so
I need some inspiration and your the man! Look forward to the updates and wishing you all the best in your future cruising it looks like you derserve it!

Sonny, thanks for your comments. I insulated using the sides of the hull any area behind woodwork with a commercial insulation which looks like tin foil covered bubble wrap. I also insulate the head lining which I replaced in 3mm marine ply with the same stuff. The sides were stapled awhere there is wood and attached with a couple of lines of silicon elsewhere.
I used about a roll and half do my Norman, however I do have a roll and bit left it which you are welcome to if you would like it? Let me know.
