Can anyone tell me what the average cost of mooring on the Great Ouse in Cambridgeshire.it has no services, no vehicle access and we cant build on it
we are looking at a plot 30ft x 30ft and the owner wants approx £12,500 but we cant find anyone who can value this.I think nearer £10,000 is a reasonable price but I'm not an estate agent (thank god!)
your thoughts on this would be much appreciated. |

There is a mooring on crosshall road that will take a 30 foot boat, just, the length is much more, but that is irrelevant as you can do nothing with it. No services, no building, but access by gate from the road. Oh , absolutely no security.
£75,000 Last time I looked.

Hi Sonny Hope you are well, you may remember we came and looked at the site earlier in the year. We ended up at Crosshall and pay just short of £1100. I thought the site was secure enough i just felt the problem was your landlord didn't seem that committed to the site from what you said and the amount of work required was a lot for me as we don't live that close.
If you had a couple of spaces made up as well as you have it set up for you boat plus the concrete section it could be a nice little site. Do you need Planning Permission for it though and EA permission?
Hope some feedback is helpful.

I think it's 75p/foot/week + vat at st.neots marina for moorings if thats any help, wouldn't have a clue about land prices.

It could well pay for itself in 10 years, less if you can sub let a section.
I was paying about £1000 per year at Croshall, but that was a few years ago.
Eynesbury marina residents appear to sub let (unofficially) for between £50 to £70 per month. Poor security, bad parking and limited facilities.

We have decided to offer £11,000 tops as that is our limit but at least we have been offered alternative accommodation at a decent rent, its just a shame that we have spent nearly three years clearing the area and now we can finally use it we can't stay there. |
