How come I cant get near Mora for weeks because there is too much water in the Ouse but we have a drought and a hosepipe ban then the river goes down but St Neots lock is closed for repairs which should take a month and end up taking five now the suns out and the river is up again and I cant get near the boat and to top it all the river licence goes up quicker than the water levelOh and the grass on the mooring goes up faster still!

Hi John
The lock is now up and running but people with high airdraft boats were having problems as the downstream side is high.last time I looked the new electrics box was in place but the old one was still wired in and has no indecator lamps so some people think its not working. Best of luck with your trip and give us a wave as you pass,we aer moored on the right downstream of the lock, boats called Mora.

Could be worse, like us you've paid yr licence & cant use the boat as the river is up & down (Although we dont mind a bit of fresh)

You could however be stuck on a dirty ditch like Ian ^ forced to boat with a load of fake riveted brass polishers.....

Heheh. We do have a small amount of brass but if there is any polish on board it's only because the previous owner left it there....

I remember a few years back, GOBA commisioned someone to investigate if the frequent closing of the river in summer was due to lack of dredging or any other man influenced action that the EA could be blamed for. After extensive study it was finally confirmed that the high flows were due to ..........
