With huge thanks to Stan we do seem to be making progress in ensuring we continue to exist!
However, there may be some "downtime" or "outages" as nerds would say!
The eventual upshot is that both the website and the forum will look and function somewhat differently!
This may well result in discussions as to how things work and look and, as always, any suggestions or grumbles will be accomodated wherever possible.
Keep your fingers crossed and worship at the alter of Stan the man!

Great news! Many thanks to Stan for his efforts in keeping this site going. It would be a tragedy if it had to close.

Anytime between the 26th and 30th. They are not particularly forthcoming with detail!

If it all goes wrong theres a temporary forum setup at the bottom of www.ouseabout.co.uk that anyone can post in, the password is nbas and unregistered usernames will need to submit a capcha thingy to post, anyone is welcome to register for full forum access.
I'll delete it once this forum is back up and running ok.

Would there by any chance be an encampment nearby I'm not aware of?

Not strictly but Thorpe Island does have a bit of a reputation concerning liveaboards and folk with loud voices!

I take it the island is the bit between the low rail bridges, luckily I can't fit in there most of the time.

It's mainly on the main river side of the island and also on the river bank a little further towards Norwich on the other side.

I don't imagine there will be much call for you in that direction... paying to moor and the beer is $h!t¢!!!!
