Not true Dean! The Rushcutters serve some good beer! The whole island is surrounded by moored boats of various sizes. There used to be a hire yard on the actual island. The main liveaboard debate on the broads seems to originate here.

I used to live (in a house!!) very near there about 18 years ago.. I know it well. Rushcutters was always a bit pricey for my lowly student finances, but used to frequent the Red Lion, the pub opposite the other end of the green (good chilli at a good price) and the Whitbread pub just a bit further down for Jazz nite, played with a mates band for free beer in there, but it was really crap!!! Oh, happy days!! I also used to clean the public toilets on the green... the things you would do for money as a student!!!!
