| So I've done it, I bought the Norman 20 and have started the long trip home, not helped by work and such like. Cheers to Everyone for the advice so far. I've got through Stenson lock up to burton, now to get through fradley before tomorrow night would be fine but I'm out in Manchester tonight. |

Are you taking the staffs / shroppie option to Chester ?

| I am indeed taking your suggestion and doing the staffs down to the Shroppie, got it to the top of fradley last night had to come back for work then, so back down tomorrow for 2 days hopefully get close to Norbury but need to sort a tunnel light enroute. Unfortunately then I think I have to head home till next week, damn this work thing. |

If you are taking the Staffs & Shroppie then I cant think why you will need a tunnel light - The only one I can think of is Cowley & thats nothing more than a big bridge !!
If you were taking the T&M thru Stoke & then the Middlewich branch , then Harecastle is a different matter !
Petrol at Gailey lock on the Staffs , a short walk down the A5 (Usally 5-6p/ltr over normal costs ...), Petrol again at Wheaton aston (bit of a strange place selling boat & pushbike spares ! - He will insist on you marking ur cans flammable !)
Good showers at Nantwich & again (not so good)just past Barbridge

| True I guess it is only the 1 tunnel, cheers for the petrol advice and the showers, reminds me should buy a bs card for them. So where a bouts are you based then you seem to know the area well. |

You don`t need a card for the B.W. showers, it`s provided as paet of the service now.
If you want a tunnel light later a set for cars off e-bay will be cheaper. Careful of the TOO cheap ones ehey rust in no time,

| Cheers Paul, am I right in thinking it the showers used to use the bs pump out card? Right yeh of course any 12v fog type lamp I guess works. |
