I have small leaks on all four corners of the wooden superstructure. Folk do seem to say that wooden top with tupperware bottom will always have some leaks! Maybe, but I want to try and stop the blighters! Where the wooden superstructure meets the gunnels a continuous quarter round mahogany strip is in place. Where this meets the superstructure sides I can sort out with varnish but where it meets the gunnels is a more testing challenge! Helpful wise chap said the only way to cure it is to lift the lot and rebed using mastic! When you see the quality of the dowelled screw fixing of this there is no way you would lightly contemplate this! So, I need some form of sealing material that would adhere to both the wood and the plastic coated gunnels. It needs to be very fine. I have considered a bead of sikaflex marine but I'm not that good with one of those guns and I'd have to mask the join both sides I would assume. Anyone got an ideas for a reasonably quick but effective fix? I don't know if Captain Trolley's stuff would stick to both surfaces as that flows into fine cracks?
