Just bought some Cray Valley encore 30 unsaturated polyester resin for doing a few repairs on my Norman 17. The technical data sheet on the the website states that the resin has a shelf life of six months.
You can tell when polyester resin gts too old, it sets, the hardner is pre-mixed with the resin and it's just a catalyst you add so as long as it's still runny go for it, the pot life times may be shorter though. I've used cray valley stuff after 18 months in a sealed container ok but if left unsealed in a hot area it will cure on it's own eventually.
Shelf life 6 months?
