Thought i would share a few photos taken on the Saturday of our trip from near Evesham 15 miles up to Stratford Upon Avon.
Photos not best quality as taken on the camera function of my little camcorder.

The Motley Crue, my mate Doug and the "better halves"

Girls manning the ropes...or trying to !!

Royal Shakespeare theatre

Only other Norman spotted on-route

Moored up for the night right opposite the theatre.

Black clouds arising

Then came the rain

Great pictures, made me envious. I was born in a little village called Binton just a stone throw from the Four Alls pub that you went past at Welford on Avon. I use to fish that river as a teenager And my boat was an 18ft army pontoon that I fitted with a 1946 ford 8 engine. Use to run it on Paraffin by putting a washer in the top of the carb and using a washing up liquid bottle with petrol in it to start it. Just think what that car would have been worth now that I bought for £7-10shilling to take the engine out. As you see my experience with engines goes back a few years as I am now 65. I cant wait till next year after I have refitted my 32 And do the Avon ring.. Maybe meet up with you.

Fished Binton many times in club matches a few years back.

We live at Offenham near Evesham and wife is from Stratford so was great seeing the town from the river, especially folk out on hire rowing boats getting drenched to the skin when a very heavy downpour came late Saturday afternoon

Never thought locks would be so facinating to tourists. Thank god i couldn't find space in Bancroft basin to moor, it would have been like living in a goldfish bowl the amount of folk looking in.

Give us a shout when you are up and running and will try and meet somewhere

Not really where i moor, it's our local pub. It does have moorings for two comfy which are in use and four at a push but think yours is a 32 footer if i recall and they are very shallow and only for a 20ft boat at the most. Only room would be on the main mooring by the beer garden but i know he has turned down boats in the past as thats his passing trade beer/food overnight mooring.
Evesham Marina have moorings at think 85p a foot per week.
