does anyone know where i can buy a sheet of flat white fibreglass sheet about 8' x 28" as i want to cover over a badly finished stern on my norman23 where the out board has been replaced by an inborad by the prevouse owner
Hi Kev You could lay up the sheet yourself using a good flat board and plenty of release wax. Just make sure the surface of the board has no imperfections in it that will transfer to your moulding, make it oversize and just cut down to suit. Lay on the gell coat first then build up the required layers of glass.
Hi Kev Having been in the grp trade for over 15 years in a previous life, I would suggest taking some folding beer tokens to your local laminator. A few quid in the right hands will get exactly the right colour gelcoat and exactly the right thickness lay-up you need for a few pounds, and make you a friend into the bargain. Try a Saturday morning - more likely to get the senior guys who know what they are doing! Cheers Steve
