Well got boat launched today and got her back to my mooring but being single handed i pulled the canopy up on my own, heard a crack and one of the plastic fitting that run up sliders by the gunwales with a wing nut on twisted and snapped..doh

Tried numerous sites and found something similar (link below) but with a bolt but can sort that out but only in 1". Assume thats the pole/slider diameter, mines around 3/4".
Anyone know a source for these in assume 3/4" ?

Edit, found these, does 19mm sound about right ?

Why not see if Gary at Coverit could help you out with an odd fitting? Tell him you are from here.

19mm is 3/4" so you'd be ok there.

The cost of boating is insignificant compared to costs of a young wife and two teenage kids!

Knighty, I damaged the canopy on my Norman 20 when towing her back from the Broads in windy conditions. I took it to J&H trimmings who are based at the Marina at Greensforge is on the Staffs & Worcs canal off the A449 not far from Stourbridge. They repaired it and supplied extra bits there and then for less than a fiver. I cannot fault them

Mad, expensive but brilliant!

Thanks for replies, i've ordered a couple of the thumb screw fittings in my second link, closest i've found so far.

The Seascrew link looks good and after i ordered found they have a fitting but in plastic similar so that may be an option if these don't work.

Resurrecting an old thread to ask would a new Coverit canopy and frame fit to existing dot and cord fittings does anyone know ?

My canopy still has loads of life as only 4-5 years old and sound apart from odd dribble from a few seams in heavy rain, but on the odd day you are caught in the rain the front is quite low above the helm seat and thinking maybe for next season getting a new canopy and higher framework.
It's that i don't really want to be relocating dot studs as there are some unused and holes filled from previous canopies as it is. Made to measure is the way but nobody around me (South Worc's) so don't think is possible.

Gary, at Coverit, does get out and about every now and again to measure up. Just give him a ring and see what he can offer.
