Andywood	Posted - 10 Apr 2016 : 08:48:12 As the team has rotted, I'm in the process of removing them with a 9mm socket set, a screwdriver and junior hacksaw. Am thinking of replacing with rubber (am assuming that it'd be cheaper). Any comments or suggestions?

cliveshep	Posted - 10 Apr 2016 : 12:03:38 A chunky "D" section can look really nice if you are prepared to spend the money and do it properly. They have a piece of stainless slid inside and you bore a 1/2" hole through the outside to allow a smaller drill to drill the bolt hole through the hull. Back it up inside with a piece of 1/2" plywood, outside they used to sell plugs you glued into the 1/2" hole but if not a joiner's plug cutter on a piece of scrap - glue it in and sand it off.
