Hi,

I've fully insulated my boat with Armaflex closed cell foam and carpeted on top with proper lining carpet from Van Mats which is suitable for marine applications. At £20+ per 2x0.5m sheet with the sticky back it was bloody expensive. You will not regret it. It's made a massive difference.

I'll be uploading a video of the job soon on my youtube channel "consumedbynature"

The Armaflex sheets are available on eBay or from a company called ryan air conditioning in Manchester.

The Armaflex is completely rot proof, won't soak any water or form mould and is also sound proof

Hope this helps

It depends where you are going to put it. I used 25mm polystyrene but 25mm king span (selatex) has twice the insulation quality but twice the price.
