Posted - 02 Dec 2014 : 08:30:00 This makes me very nervous :D
The EA have changed their policy (officially reverted back to their original policy) and have started leaving the tidal lock open all winter. They used to close once flood conditions had abated to maintain water levels up stream. The negative of this is.. My boat is now sat on a mud bank. I'm praying it wont tip over if the water level gets any lower.

Posted - 23 Dec 2014 : 12:30:15 It would be worth lifting the outboard, if you can, surely?
I think the hull should be fine. |

Hopefully the silt bank will be enough to keep her from toppling over. |

Posted - 05 Dec 2014 : 15:14:40 Given your location I'm thinking that change of policy is connected to all that flooding last year. That there low river is flood contingency. The fact that you can't boat is way down their political priority list... |

Posted - 03 Dec 2014 : 14:14:06 It's on the River Parrett in Somerset. Usually the river is at normal levels during the winter (when not in flood) but a change in policy mean the poor girl is grounded :( |
