This makes me very nervous :D

The EA have changed their policy (officially reverted back to their original policy) and have started leaving the tidal lock open all winter. They used to close once flood conditions had abated to maintain water levels up stream.
The negative of this is.. My boat is now sat on a mud bank. I'm praying it wont tip over if the water level gets any lower.

That all looks a bit interesting... whereabouts are you?

It's on the River Parrett in Somerset. Usually the river is at normal levels during the winter (when not in flood) but a change in policy mean the poor girl is grounded :(

Given your location I'm thinking that change of policy is connected to all that flooding last year. That there low river is flood contingency. The fact that you can't boat is way down their political priority list...

Indeed, and I can understand that. Trouble is, they didn't tell anyone. The only slipway on the river is also unusable due to their neglect of it, so I can't even pull her out.

Hopefully the silt bank will be enough to keep her from toppling over.

It would be worth lifting the outboard, if you can, surely?

I think the hull should be fine.

Yeah, planning on lifting it once I can get in the damn thing. Thought about boarding her in that position, but she moved slightly so I thought best wait for some rain :D
