Posted - 05 Sep 2013 : 09:39:09 At the risk of making a really stupid comment, and I admit I am not well up on inboard petrol engines but. Ultimatly its a Ford carb off a car engine. Have you tried a good motor factors to see if you can get a replacement carb?
As soon as you mention marine (or motorsport) the price normally doubles even if its the same part.
Just a thought

Posted - 02 Sep 2013 : 03:14:59 Aparently there is a company in Portsmouth that reconditins carbs. I will ask the mate who was considering sending his Ford/Watermoco carb there due to it not running at low revs. The need to send his away ended when I opened it up and blew through the ports & jets with a decent amount of compressed air. Runs a treat now! |
