Posted - 22 Mar 2012 : 12:01:44 With huge thanks to Stan we do seem to be making progress in ensuring we continue to exist! However, there may be some "downtime" or "outages" as nerds would say! The eventual upshot is that both the website and the forum will look and function somewhat differently! This may well result in discussions as to how things work and look and, as always, any suggestions or grumbles will be accomodated wherever possible. Keep your fingers crossed and worship at the alter of Stan the man! |

Posted - 26 Mar 2012 : 23:22:48 I used to live (in a house!!) very near there about 18 years ago.. I know it well. Rushcutters was always a bit pricey for my lowly student finances, but used to frequent the Red Lion, the pub opposite the other end of the green (good chilli at a good price) and the Whitbread pub just a bit further down for Jazz nite, played with a mates band for free beer in there, but it was really crap!!! Oh, happy days!! I also used to clean the public toilets on the green... the things you would do for money as a student!!!!

Posted - 26 Mar 2012 : 22:39:54 Not true Dean! The Rushcutters serve some good beer! The whole island is surrounded by moored boats of various sizes. There used to be a hire yard on the actual island. The main liveaboard debate on the broads seems to originate here. |

Posted - 26 Mar 2012 : 20:37:53 It's mainly on the main river side of the island and also on the river bank a little further towards Norwich on the other side.
I don't imagine there will be much call for you in that direction... paying to moor and the beer is $h!t¢!!!!

Posted - 26 Mar 2012 : 20:06:55 I take it the island is the bit between the low rail bridges, luckily I can't fit in there most of the time.
