The details that I gave on the registration form were incorrect my engine is a BMC 1500 diesel not 1800 as stated on the boat sales details. Both engines look identical and can only be told apart by the number cast into the side of the block this is hidden
by the exhaust system and can only be read with a powerful torch and small mirror. The boat is moored at March on the middle levels. I have had the same steering problems as described by others. 105 paving blocks (approx 210 Kg) in the bows have helped a lot, this has also lifted the stern by 40mm which is a help as the outdrive leg hits the bottom in many places.
