Hi fellow boaters, I've been off the scene for awhile, about 6 years and have just bought another boat, a 32ft Atlanta (Hope that's not a swear word on here). I've been looking around the net trying to find any info regarding the new love of my life and it seems very limited. Any searches with the word "Atlanta" in, bring up Atlanta Georgia, which is not a lot of good to me, and then I found you guys. You seem like my kind of people, so hopefully I will be welcomed on here . I live in the midlands and my boat is moored on the Oxford Canal. As far as I can tell at the moment, my boat was made in 1993 and has a Honda 35hp outboard fitted, which is really a little overpowered for Canal use, it never gets above tick over, which makes charging the batteries a bit of a problem. Where are you people hiding out, as there seems to be very few GRP cruisers of any description, let alone Normans, around these days, could the lack of petrol pumps be something to do with this. It does seem to be a growing problem lately, Last time I was afloat petrol wasn't exactly in abundance, but at least it was there, now it seems if I want fuel I have to take it with me or walk miles to find a garage. The last time I got caught short so to speak I was at the top of the Whilton Flight and had to head up to Watford Gap services on the M1 and fill up there.
