When I got my boat the Honda B100 throttle linkage between the little yoke on the end of my remote throttle cable and the quadrant in my photo (via the hole on the right) was held together with a cable tie. Could anyone tell me - is there a specific bush that should be used, or can I just drop a small, loosely tightened bolt through the linkage? If there is a special part required, could anyone tell me what it's called so I can look for one? As always, I'll be grateful for any advice.

Clevis pin and r-clip would be the ideal, does the cable have a flat with a hole or a fork end?
If going for the bolt approach use a nyloc nut and try and get a short bolt with a shank so it doesn't wear the hole by vibrating against a thread.

Should have mentioned the cable fitting is a fork end.

Clevis pin and small split pin was original fit. Measure hole diameter (6mm I believe) and go buy from a garage or Halfords or, in extremis - E-bay.

Finally living the dream!
