So this post starts after a large bottle of wine reminiscing....

Having been a member from 2002 I have to say its nice to see some of the original members still on here (Trevor-You must be a saint!) (DF - Well maybe the Antichrist!) etc etc.

I can also remember he who shall not be named.... (Gud-e-nuff ) Having spent many a hour running away down the Trent!

Recent years have not been good for our old 22 - Rotten Transom & a dated inside....... Time has maybe come to part with the old girl after 17yrs.

Good news is that we have hopefully found someone to take Guinevere on as a project. Once we have finished our house projects we will recommence to another boat - Probably another Norman.

I doubt that anyone else will take on the missions we took on this boat but I hope it will bring the pleasure it brought to us.....

Missions included from Leics........

Leics Ring - 1 week
4 Counties - 2 weeks
LLangollen - 2 weeks
London/ Lincon - 2 Weeks
Boston - 1 week
Pennine Trip via Trent / Aire / Rochdale / T&M etc 2 weeks

Plus many more

Looking for a new boat now - but only on Chez's say so !!!

Happy Boating all

Adi

Good to hear from you and Chez Adi, I reckon most of us tend to move on boat wise. So many started their boating in Normans, Freemans and Dawncraft and climbed the ladder of expense! Mine was a leap to a Bourne 35 then back to a more sensible size of a Hampton Safari. Normans also appear to have developed a strong following on faceache. They still fetch a reasonable price as well. Hope to hear that you do both take to the water again and, most important of all, tell us on here! All the best!

Bloody lock junkie! I don't miss 'em one little bit.
Good to hear you are both still alive and kicking, you'll soon get another boat, get on here whatever you get as half of us no longer have normans anyway, and you really need something with a bit more headroom......
Most of all have fun! (and beer)
