Hi, I have my Norman 18.5 out of the water to restore. The ceiling has been painted numerous times over the years by the look of it and now it looks awful as the paint is flaking badly throughout. I thought a wire brush would do the trick, but I was a lttle optimistic. Can anyone recommend a solution, and once that problem has been dealth with what you would recommend to re do / repaint the ceiling with?

I think that's going to be a messy job however you tackle it.
Have you thought about rubbing it down with wet and dry paper, starting with a fairly coarse grade to remove the flaky paint.
Once that's removed you can use a less aggressive grade to flat the surface for painting. |

Why not use a sander to remove loose, vac up debris, take a shower, come back and glue short pile or corded carpet over it?
No condensation and no need to worry about painting.
Not the roof but you get the idea - cut carpet in with a sharp craft knife after sticking it on, much as you might with wallpaper.
Well ventilate the area, don't hang about too long in it (fumes!) and use Evostik Impact glue, brush onto the cabin roof and press carpet into it while wet.
Finally living the dream!
