Well, 12 months on from buying my Norman 20 from Norfolk she's almost ready to be taken back there

I had originally set myself a target of Easter to get her finished and on a mooring on the Broads.
I will miss that by a couple of weeks but I am pleased to say I have secured a decent mooring in Horning and now the rush is on to finish my "renovations".

Horning?? That must cost you a bob or too. You'll be stuck in the madness now then until October but there's no better place to be stuck in madness unless its on the southern rivers! Enjoy it.

I know very little about the northern broads as a good year is a year I don't go up there, on the southern rivers moorings are generally cheaper but depends on what sort of facilities you are after, for very basic langley dyke is supposed to be cheap, I believe hardly dyke is also very cheap but has a waiting list, if they have space thorpe marina where I am (thorpe st.andrews, not the pikey bit on the island)is fairly cheap, has a nice edging, facilities are an outside bog and mad Terry keeping an eye on things but easy going and easy from the A47.
Somerleyton was quite cheap with good facilities last time I enquired but floating pontoons were too low for a high freeboard and aged dog to get on with as the fingers are quite narrow.
