Can someone advise please?
I need to purchase a new/used outboard for my Norman 20.
The boat will be used exclusively on the more sedate Northern rivers, where the strongest tides I would face are around Acle.
Would a 10hp be adequate?
Thanks.

10hp would be plenty for acle and above and fine for breydon crossings if you hit it at slack, I'd aim for 15hp if you can though, no point restricting yourself from the best cruising grounds.

Ok thanks folks.
Don't know much about the EFI Tohatsu's as they are fairly new.
Needs to be long shaft version though.

Tohatsu build good engines but if you deal with extreme marine make sure they are genuine first as there was a similar name mentioned on the ybw forums a while back which suggested a scam, they may be perfectly genuine so don't take this as gospel just check first (as with any other online supplier).
