There are snowdrops and the beginnings of buds appearing so those that have been enduring cabin fever will soon be set free once again! If you haven't already, time to check your boat, licences etc. Don't forget our one and only commercial supporters, CraftInsure, if you need an insurance quote. They do well for us at the economy end and, it seems, the big end. Those that may frequent the Broads forums will have noticed the saga of a Trader wandering to Norfolk from Plymouth and stimulating all manner of debate! They went with Mark and Co as well. Think a 23 would benefit from "stabs" Dave?? |

I take it you mean stabilisers Trev? Not been following that thread that closely, seems to be an awful lot of fuss and hero worship about taking a perfectly sea capable boat to sea with the help of ex RN crew. And back to the point, ROLL ON SPRING!!!!!!!!

Is a 23 sea capable, Dave? Just curious 'cos mine bobs about like a cork when going up the Severn sometimes. Jud. |

I wouldn't although the original brochures claim they are. The thread in question is about a trader 535 not a norman. When I went for coastal with a higher value I found craftinsure expensive, they were great for the norman 25 though.

I did notice that you were not a part of the "OOOOO and AAAAaah" brigade Dave. Yes, it did come across as a tad dramtic. Mind you, there seems to have been a level of spending that's totally alien to most!

Spending wise isn't it supposed to be an alternative to property in london in which case it's probably cheap. There's nothing above F6 shown in the windguru forecast for that day but it's not in the best direction, to be fair I would have stayed in port with F6 shown but my boat is a lot smaller and lighter.

Me and my big gob! Hope everyone has enough anti-freeze in the raw water systems (including me, last visit I was on the verge of not bothering as we are "over the worst now", glad I did.)

I think you are right Trev, there seems to still be a house in the equation and more than my boats total worth in nav gear alone, I wonder if it will make it back out to sea again..... I thought I'd had an expensive winter.
