Age has discoloured the ceiling in the cabin, and it's now a yellowish colour, has anyone any idea how to brighten it up........I would like it to look clean and sparkly again , am I expecting too much ?

Try something like sugar soap first, it may be more to do with a previous owner smoking than age, failing that t-cut or similar may help but I don't think the headlinings were ever a brilliant white.

A lot of the Norman inside mouldings were a deep cream colour from new.
You sure that isn't the case with yours?
