New canopies are expensive, decent outboards are expensive, go for 4 stroke every time, check valid bss certificate, transoms can rot (wooden filler between grp skins) but not a big problem on canals and rivers.
Osmosis is a price bargaining point but not realy an issue as no-one has ever sunk from it.
Generally a good sturdy starter boat.
