I thought I would never finish it. Well it still needs some work. For those who are interested I converted the original boat trailer that I made and now turned it into a portable slip way. That is how I launched my 32 onto my lake. I need to give it a good test before I take it to the Brecon and Monmouth for my holiday. Slight problem it weighs 3720kgs so I have got to try and get some weight off it and into my disco.I have lots more photo's but it takes me to long to upload them. My mini digger was ideal to launch it. Another reason I put it on my lake is that I am doing a charity open day on Sept 4th and doing boat trips round the island.
No I’m not royalty. Its just work. 20 years ago I was nearly broke and was offered 10 acres of scrub land and exchanged it for labour and built a 40ft extension on a house for a friend. I bought an old 9 ton digger for £500 and dug a 1 acre lake put all the roads in and a small caravan park plus I am 100% self sufficient. At 70 I still work every day and enjoy it. My pleasure is seeing every one enjoy what I have built. The campers and the fishermen/women.
Nice job done! I'm loving the portable slipway idea ( begs the question " do you need a slipway to launch the portable slipway?" ) that is such a good solution and looks much safer than the lift out pics.
Just a point worth thinking about, if you are doing boat trips for the general public you probably need to supply lifejackets for all and possibly have the boat mca certified or any minor mishaps could come back and bite you big time in the modern health & stupidity age, and check insurance cover too. Bring back the good old days when you could just do something like that without worrying about it and no-one cared as long as no-one died.
