Hireboat window Vs 10kg bruce anchor......Fight!

This worked out well for me as the hire company are paying for the new tilting anchor roller that has sat in my hall since march and £45 towards the stainless plate I need to get cut to fit it how I want it.
And yes I definately won, there was a big curl of aluminium sitting in the anchor from their window frame, just glad the woman on the deck wasn't a few feet further back when it hit or she would have probably lost half her leg and this would be a thread about how to remove blood and bone shavings from grp.

It was one of Freedoms hire boats at surlingham ferryhouse, I was moored against the side of the cut at the far end of the garden, they were swinging to moor stern on but wrong way for the tide, when they tried to get it to swing it swung straight into my anchor and caught inside their widow frame (it wasn't an open window but it is now...).
They seemed sober and wasn't messing about just got it wrong, at least I get my new roller paid for by someone else now. Just got to bring it back up the list of things to do.

The back plate is just a securing plate, all it has is the two side plates and a securing pin that goes through the end of the anchor to stop it accidently deploying, your setup may not need it.
