Usually mated to a TMP box (Thames Marine Products).
TMP went to the wall years ago, but with almost all hire craft and most pleasure craft of the era fitted with TMP boxes there was a real need for a service arm somewhere and a guy in Weybridge bought up shells, castings, tooling, spares etc and now fixes them - professionally. Called Thamesway Marine Products they are close to Shepperton lock in Weybridge.
So if you have an Elysian, Freeman, Seamaster etc you could well have a TMP gearbox lurking down in the deepest depths of your engine room.
I've had several done there over the years, fitted to Perkins, Leyland, Thorneycroft lumps etc and I'm sure he will help you. They are still making marine transmissions so give the man a call.
