Can someone please pray to the wind gods for me! Currently sat in wells harbour bouncing about like a fecking space hopper on acid watching my return window disappearing, may have to leave the boat here for a week (at £23 night!). May try a dive back to gt.yarmouth wednesday but not looking good, can see a trip out and scurrying back in happening at this rate..... Can someone design a pause button for boats please?

Eeekk... A bit bouncy I guess...
If it is any help I'm not at work this week...... If you need a lift to bail out or even a crew... just shout.

23 quid a night??? Blimey. You could buy a new one for that.

You probably don't want to hear that over our way it's been perfect boating weather this weekend. |

You'd only get a narrowboat though, not a real one! Back from pub and the sandbanks are still showing, another half hour and we'll get the full spin cycle for the next 4 hours, joy! Looks like a bus trip to the car tomorrow, she can wake me up when she gets back...(duck for cover)

Now Dave, if you'd have bought one of these instead of that high-speed plastic bath-tub you'd be home by now washing salt off the decks!
"You KNOW it makes sense!"

 Finally living the dream!

It's fairly quiet now as the tide is out, been a right bouncy night, looks like a bail out plan is going ahead.

I got 3 extra nylon ropes out and getting close to high water now with F7-8 blowing straight from north, got the hawaii five 0 theme going through my head for some reason, may have to take the dog to the pub for a break.

Gah! You English folk. All you ever do is complain about the weather.
We've had summer. It was that week or so just after the snow, sleet, hail, thunder and lightning (we seeded a new lawn just before that lot...)
Anyhow, in about three weeks time we'll confidently be able to say that the nights are drawing in.

Here's how the run round was. https://youtu.be/o6q8NK6SZVI I am hoping for a similar run saturday morning now as the winds look to be dropping, time to go and waste some more diesel....

Good luck with the later tide...... Fog... gawd knows whats comming next...
There doesn't appear to have been any movement of boats all week, looking at the web cam!!!
If the vis is still low, I think you should go for it.... you have radar and a chart plotter, its not a tricky coast.... what could go wrong???? I would happily do it in the dark....... but then I'm stupid!!!

Woohoo! Made it back at last. The fog didn't clear till late morning so decided to go for it on the afternoon tide at 4.30pm, on the way out got called on the radio by a merry fisher coming back in to say it was very bumpy out there and he wasn't lying, once over the bar it calmed to just lumpy, not till we rounded cromer did it settle down properly to just plain rolly. Made it in to gt.yarmouth for about 9.30pm to find only 6'6" under the bridge so had to wait till midnight to get under, after man-handling the dog over the town quay flood wall and back decided definately heading elsewhere for the night so a midnight expedition across breydon water was in order, with no moon and a bit of mist I would not recomend it to anyone sane. Boat now back at regular mooring and me back at home, will sleep well tonight (after the pub of course).
