You must be joking Sonny, I just priced up for an oil change on mine, £50 for 5 litres of gear oil, £60 for 25 litres of engine oil, around £35 for 2 oil filters, that's without going for the genuine volvo stuff just matching API/ACEA specs, it's all fully synthetic stuff.
Still cheaper than engine parts though so may as well go for the right stuff.
Then there's 4 fuel filters and 2 air filters.....

if its any consolation Dave Ive got to have a new canopy and a survey for the insurance and now its been lifted out at Buckden it seems that I need a new keel as well as the river is so shallow on my mooring that the bottom has grounded and worn through the fibreglass.

be a nice present if the EA dredged the river but they cant even afford to fix the bloody lock

now iv'e cheered myself up Grr.
