Hope some of you Engine Guru's are able to help with this.

I have an Elec start outboard on my Norman 20

When I start the engine it idles really rough. When I put it into drive it seems to run fine, until I drop the revs and then it cuts out.
I have stripped the Carb, replaced a faulty Float (not yet changed the float needle). Set the height of the float between the tolerances shown in the manual (9.5 to 10.5mm) changed the idle jet and I am confident that the carb is clean as a whistle, however I still have the same problem.
I have not yet removed the plugs to check them however in the manual it seems to suggest that I could have a Ignition Coil issue. I am no auto electrician however I could take out the plugs to see if I have a
good spark (plugs were last changed in Jan this year)
If the plugs are good, can anyone out there give me any pointers or personal experiences to sort this problem.

Thanks

When you clean a carb you need to get the bits you can't see clean, often the problem lies in blocked passages, a high pressure airline is your friend.

Thanks df
I have soaked the carb in a Ultrasonic bath for 24hrs and blown it out with compressed air. This carb cannot be any cleaner.
I am now concentrating on other factors. I had a new fuel pipe made up in early Spring and I have noticed that the primer bulb does not get hard when you pump it. If this is the issue, why does the engine run fine when in drive, yet won't idle. Maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree.

I had a similar problem with my old outboard tank now you come to mention it, the pickup pipe inside had split, I replaced with a bit of rubber fuel hose and it cured the fuel pickup issues.
