Like others I seem to be having a few problems and NEED advice to resolve them.. I have recently got My first Canal boat and am trying to get some insurance for My 23' Norman In-land (canal)Cabin Cruiser I have been ask for the year of manufacture, as My Boat is years old I can't find any reference to this on any of the documentation I have for the boat can anyone give any suggestions as to how I can find this info our??
In the bow they usually scribbled the manufacture year in pencil on the hull. Might have to tease some carpeting back to find it. On my 20 it was on the port side. If that fails just find one of similar age and put down as if you don't know the insurance company won't either. Just be realistic usually around mid 70's. They will know it's wrong if you have a 1995 Norman !! Being 23ft Craftinsure won't want an out of water survey either.
Edit, check the screen glass as well, mine had the Kite mark with 79 stamped on it which tallied with the bow scribble.
You didn't try Craftinsure then? OK, you have the "insurance" you need then but lets just hope you never have to make a claim! Its common knowledge that the last Normans were built around 1982.
