Well for the second weekend I got out on the river. Sunday was a trip from Erith along the old west to the Lazy Otter for lunch and a couple of beer's, I also done my good deed for the day when I entered Hermitage lock there was a Birchwood which had broken down, so my wife grab a rope and we towed him over to the safety of the moorings, I hope it wasn't to serious. Saturday was a trip to St Ives and a stroll around the shops and then into the tea room, the down side was we left it to late to stop off on our way back at the Ferry Boat.
I met a guy while we were moored at St Ives who has a Norman 20 but it had a Ford fiesta inboard, look very nice I thought it quite rare, the stern was all one piece it didn't have the recess for an outboard.
Lets hope for the same this weekend. |

Hi Ben, I thought we would have seen you at the weekend, water level was very low on Friday but by Monday there was quite a rise in level, that Norman 20 was very tidy and it seemed to move well.
See you at the weekend. |

Silver spirit is indeed a very tidy norman 20, it used to be moored just over from me at st.neots marina before I escaped the clutches of the gt.ouse. 1600 x-flow on an enfield if I remember rightly, should go well.

We're on the broads now, moored just outside norwich, and I have to confess I'm not missing the locks one little bit, locks are for nutters like Adi!
