Biggest problem you have is the Wigan Flight I guess !
Canal plan gives it as just over two days.
Its 35 miles & 23 locks so for most it would be 2-3 days.
For us with a very early start & a late finish it would be possible with luck in one day but this sort of cruising is not for the faint hearted !!!
However - Once past the Wigan flight theres no locks so an early start & a good run makes it possible !!! (I can hear the screams from the crew)
IIRC we did a similar run from before the top of Wigan flight when I was a teenager, myself & my cousin worked the flight as Dad had cracked his ribs the day earlier & could only steer. we certainly made Worsley I think so 2 hrs further would do it.
A long long long day tho ! - Dont think you will get held at Barton Aquaduct like we did on that trip as the MSC has much less traffic nowadays.
Unless you are as crazy as us go for 2 days. I think we would prob stop a Worsley as the moorings are good & do the last bit on the next morning.
