Hi I know nothing about Normans but am about to look at a 23 dated 1976. In general terms does anyone have any opinions on the state of a hull that old? My old or similar aged Buckingham I have just recently sold had a perfect hull and I wondered if Normans have a good reputation also. You always get the "Yes it was antifouled last year and there are no problems" but you can never be sure when buying in water. Any comments appreciated
They are solidly laid up at that age and osmosis never sunk anyone, it will have it but unlikely to be worth worrying about. The later 24's were a bit thinner in the layup the same as all newer boats as grp was a better know material.
HI I have a Norman 23 approx 1972 I have no problems at all apart from some wandering when steering this was cured when a rudder was fitted to the outboard. Pete
