Not sure (As I was usually a little drunk when aboard) but think the Creighton 27 (or 32) Had a little more headroom than our 22.

Also seem to recall the (Sorry) Dawncraft Dandy had good headspace but cannot comment on proper size (+25') dawncrafts (Rovers etc)

25K should see you easily in widebeam prices - DF may be able to advise headroom on his RLM (Only sat outside but seemed ok inside!)

Cheap Sewer tube ???? (AAAAAAGGGGHHHHH)

Adi

Sewer Tubes ? I'd rather have a D**ncr*ft (Only Kidding)

OOPS - Daves RLM is 32 so too long for mooring

Thanks for all your help we seem to have exhausted most of the local boat yards further afield I think. Most 27 are hard tops this can be made removal at a price. i am trying to see a Hampton Safria but most have seen a very hard life or used as house boats . At this time the leading contender is a freeman 27 the one ones that I have seen require work and not worth the 25k price tag. Off to see Mr Freeman (local boat yard) today check book to be left in safe at home.

I'm in the same position, thinking of going for something a little wider and more headroom than our 20. Someone told me Viking boats have good headroom. There is a nice Rinker for sale near me but i think a 5.7ltr engine and 3ft+ draught would be silly on the Avon...Or would it

Hi tigtog
I have been advised about a neglected boat that has been broken free, damaged, and left high and dry in a garden. No boat safety cir. Unable to recover for some weeks or wait for more floods if it still floats the owner does not wish to be contacted at this time still looking. The boat in the link looks nice but too large for the mooring. Mooring for a 28 ft boat in a secure mooring on the lower Thames 3k plus. I do not pay quite that yet. e the quote i have recived 2-3k to remove a hardtop and convert a fixed winscreen to a floding screen
